MELBOURNE, May 3 Asia Pulse - The Australian sharemarket slipped into negative territory, reflecting the weaker performance on Wall Street last Friday.

By 1015 AEST the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index was down by 18.4 points to 3382.4 and the all ordinaries index was 16.9 points to 3390.8.
