The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) and the Nigeria United for Democracy (NUD) organisers of the mass rally have reacted to the police rejfusal to give permit for the mass rally slated for monday, May 3, saying "the rally is constitutionally guaranteed And protected under the 1999 constitution".

It also said "we do not need Police permit to hold any rally. What we need is police coverage against hoodlums."

The organisers of the rally also served police a notice of the rally, requesting the Police to provide security to cover the rally expected to commence by 10 a.m. from …
