COTABATO CITY-Opposition to the controversial Executive Order No. 304 which caused the transfer of the regional seat of Central Mindanao from here to South Cotabato, is growing.
Yesterday, people from all walks of life joined businessmen and government workers in protesting order by wearing black clothes and armbands.
Under EO 304, regional government agencies here have to relocate to Koronadal City, the new regional seat of Central Mindanao.
"We would like to show that we are not happy with the decision," businessman Pete Marquez said.
Other businessmen and residents also put up streamers assailing the Malacanang order.
Marquez, a ranking official of the Cotabato Muslim-Christian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the President was ill-advised when she signed the order.
