MANNY Pacquiao is in better shape now than when he stopped Mexican boxing legend Marco Antonio Barrera last year.
Trainer of the Year Freddie Roach declared this yesterday during a final press conference at the Max's of Manila Restaurant in Glendale, California.
The Pacquiao entourage motors to Las Vegas on Tuesday morning.
Roach, accompanied by Pacquiao and promoter Murad Muhammad, expressed unusual confidence the Filipino champion will topple WBA/IBF featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez when they tangle on May 8 at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas.
"Manny is trained so well. He's in better shape now than he was for the Barrera fight. I really feel good about this fight," Roach was quoted by Fightnews when asked of Pacquiao's chances.
