GENERAL SANTOS CITY-The Kilusang Mayo Uno and its allied organizations here said big companies in the South Cotabato-Sarangani-General Santos (Socsargen) area have yet to comply with the P180 minimum wage agreed upon several years ago.
"Many businesses are not complying with the minimum wage law," Jose Teruel, KMU-Socsargen spokesperson, said.
Teruel did not identify any company but South Cotabato is home to several multinationals including Dole Philippines.
Despite the failure of many businesses to implement previous wage hikes, Teruel said the militant group would still vigorously campaign for a fresh round of wage increase for workers in the area.
