BAGUIO CITY-The Baguio casino's political currency in the election campaign has apparently not paid off for its biggest critic.
Widely circulated letters, text messages and local newsletters have accused Councilor Braulio Yaranon, a mayoral candidate and a retired judge, of playing the baccarat tables at the Pagcor Regency Casino, formerly Mimosa Regency Casino, at Clark Field in Pampanga.
According to documents obtained by the Inquirer, Yaranon's name surfaced on the logbook of the casino at Clark. He supposedly entered the facility on Jan. 28, 2003 to play the slot machines. Other information suggested that he gambled on the baccarat tables.
