: With exit polls staring the BJP in the face, the party today got down to strike crack strategies to mend any possible breach in its demographic fort in the politically important Uttar Pradesh. The next round of polls in the Bundelkhand-centric belt of the state is crucial for the party as its hopes of an improved tally depend on this region. In the last election, Mr Kalyan Singh's rebellion saw his kinsmen deserting the BJP helping the Samajwadi Party to make major gains.
