V.Ships secures Club Med 2 contract.

THE deck and engine management contract for Club Med 2, the cruiseship owned by French- listed tour operator Club Mediterranee, has been won by V.Ships Leisure. The passengership arm of the Monaco shipmanagement giant said it had been awarded the work because of its extensive experience in the cruise sector and its commitment to customer service.

V.Ships Leisure provides management services to more than 40 cruiseships, it added.

Club Med 2, said to be the largest five-masted sail-cruiser in the world, was built in 1992 at Ateliers et Chantiers du Havre.
