TACLOBAN CITY-A total of 31 police officers in Eastern Visayas were dismissed from service for various offenses by Chief Supt. Dionisio Coloma Jr., police regional director, since he assumed the post in Aug. 1, 2002.

Coloma had also ordered the suspension of 157 erring policemen over the same period. The suspension ranged from five to 90 days.

Coloma said the 31 police officers dismissed from service committed offenses ranging from dishonesty (misrepresentation of age and educational attainment), serious irregularity in the performance of duty, grave misconduct to absence without leave of absence.
