KAPADVANJ: Vastabhai Vankar is a sexagenarian farmer from Malpur in Sabarkantha district. He has been waiting for nearly an hour now for Narendra Modi to turn up.

Vankar may have lived through the glorious years of Congress-rule, but today even he is not sure if the many farmers like him would offer en-masse support to the party. In fact, this time around it may not be a cakewalk for sitting MP Shankersinh Vaghela, seeking a re-election from here for the third time.
