Animal lover Kathy Bryan of Licking County, Ohio, was upset when she was forced to kill three wolves.

On the morning of Sunday, July 16, Bryan heard her three dogs making a ruckus. When she checked into the noise, she saw several wolves in her backyard. One had her beagle, Roo, by the neck and was trying to "yank him off his chain," reported the Columbus Dispatch. Bryan got a shotgun and tried to scare off the wolves by firing into the air, but that strategy backfired.
