Chinese President Hu Jintao has stressed China's commitment to regional cooperation in all spheres in his keynote speech at Boao Forum for Asia. He said China will follow a "peaceful development path", stick to the opening-up policy and further strengthen cooperation with other regional players on economic, political and security issues. He said that China's economy is faced with problems like short energy supply, excessive growth in fixed assets and money credit, and the key to solving these problems lies in deepening reform. Boao, Hainan, 24 April: Chinese President Hu Jintao Saturday [24 April] said China will enhance good-neighbourliness for Asia's rejuvenation and expressed "much confidence in Asia's future" at the opening session of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) 2004 Annual Conference.
