SYDNEY, April 1 Asia Pulse - The Australian dollar is firmer at noon, consolidating on last night's gains on the back of a weaker United States dollar against the euro and the yen.
At 1200 AEST the Australian dollar was trading at .7628/33 compared with yesterday's close of 0.7594/99.
In the morning session, the local currency has traded between $US0.7628 and 0.7671.
Macquarie Bank currency strategist Jo Masters said the Australian dollar touched $US0.7670 at the end of the New York session.
She added that traders with a bullish Australian dollar view were starting to reemerge in the market, which helped support the local currency.
