THE STAR:
- Commerce International Merchant Bankers Bhd (CIMB) said yesterday it has completed its Tier 2 subordinated debt of US$100mil, which was oversubscribed by 4.25 times.
- Analysts are positive about airline veteran Datuk Ahmad Fuaad Mohd Dahalan's appointment as Malaysia Airlines (MAS) new managing director effective today.
- Pioneer Internet service provider Jaring aims to provide managed contact centre services to corporations within the next six months, chief executive officer Dr Mohammed Awang Lah said.
- The KLSE Composite Index (CI) staged another late rebound yesterday to regain almost 19 points lost earlier the day, closing up 0.33 of a point at 901.85. This was the third day that last minute window-dressing had been observed on the local bourse.
- Affin-ACF Holdings Bhd unit Affin-ACF Finance Bhd expects to post double-digit loans growth this year with its proactive strategies in expanding its motor financing and home mortgage businesses as well as lending to small- and medium-sized industries.
