MITSUBISHI AUSTRALIA DENIES SALE OF FACILITIES
ADELAIDE - Mitsubishi Australia has denied reports from Japan that the car maker is considering terminating production in Australia.
A report in Japan's Asahi Shimbun newspaper said the company also planned to sell its facilities in Australia, an engine plant and a vehicle assembly operation in Adelaide.

ADELAIDE - Car and truck sales in Australia could top one million for the first time this year, auto industry boss Peter Sturrock said today.
With demand on target for the six-figure result, Mr Sturrock, the chief executive of the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI), said the economic fundamentals remained in place to sustain industry growth.
