Research carried out on behalf of Xchanging*, last month, into the attitudes of the London insurance market towards outsourcing, reveals that there is still a wide spectrum of views on its desirability. A mixed group of participants in the market (managing agents, companies, brokers) were split when asked about whether they were considering outsourcing internal operations.
Just over 50% of those polled were definitely not considering it, saying they didn't want it, it never came up in conversation or they considered themselves to be adequately resourced internally.
