Companies need to bring sales and credit together for "Smokey the Bear" campaigns to prevent forest fires rather than fight them after they break out, suggests Davy Tyburski, founder and president of CreditandSales.com (www.creditandsales.com). If sales delivers the booked revenue and credit and collections delivers the cash, when they work together to maximize both, companies make more profit, he argues.
