Washington, April 20 (Jiji Press)--U.S. Treasury Secretary John Snow indicated Tuesday that he will urge his Group of Seven partners to promote economic growth at their meeting this weekend.

"It is important that we not be the only engine of growth in the global economy," Snow told reporters after testifying at a Senate Appropriations subcommittee.

Snow said that he is "delighted" to see the Japanese economy beginning to show good signs of growth, but that Germany and France are "growing too slowly." He will attend a meeting of finance ministers and central ...
