Culture & Society: General Giap Visits Dien Bien Phu.

General Vo Nguyen Giap, who orchestrated the defeat of the French colonialists in the battle of Dien Bien Phu in 1954, returned to the historic site last Saturday amidst a warm welcome from local people.
The visit, which comes a decade after the General's last trip to the town, is part of activities in honor of the 50th anniversary of victory at Dien Bien Phu.
