The Standing Committee of the National Assembly (NA), the top legislature in Vietnam, began its 18th session in Hanoi yesterday to discuss amendments to a number of laws.

The laws include the Civil Procedures Code, the revised Law on Credit Organizations, the revised Law on Child Care, Protection and Education, the revised Law on Bankruptcy, the Law on Forest Protection and Development, the Law on Inland Waterway Transportation and the Publishing Law.

During its 10-day sitting, deputies will also hear recommendations for amending the Law on Complaints and Denunciations which will expire at the end of the first quarter of …
