LOS ANGELES -- Patients undergoing second-trimester pregnancy termination were more accepting of the experience if vaginal misoprostol was used rather than oral misoprostol or an intraamniotic injection of prostaglandin [F.sub.2[alpha]], a study of 165 patients found.
A total of 57% of 70 women given vaginal misoprostol said they would choose the same procedure if they needed a future second-trimester termination, compared with 34% of 38 women given oral misoprostol and 30% of 57 women who received the intraamniotic injection, Dr. Hani Akoury reported at the annual meeting of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
