The Military Intelligence Bureau [MIB] yesterday declined to comment on a Hong Kong media report that claimed more than 10 Chinese military officials were arrested for espionage activities on behalf of Taiwan, saying only that such reports are usually contradictory to the truth.

The Hong Kong based newspaper SingPao yesterday reported, without specifying its sources, that some 10 Chinese air force officials were arrested "sometime around 20 March, the date of Taiwan's presidential election". [passage …
