"Our people are sporting and always keen to participate in many of the competitions organised during the festival nationwide," says Tourism Ministry's head of events unit Azhar Abu Bakar.
"This is the fifth festival running and the response has been overwhelming. Every year, we get at least 100,000 people at the national launch ceremony. This figure was an amazing 150,000 in Kuantan two years ago."
