Ogun State Government has explained that its intention to host the next edition of the National Sports Festival scheduled to hold in year 2006, was not for the fun of it alone, but purposely because of its maximum economic gains.

The State Commissioner for Sports, Otunba Fatai Sowemimo who briefed newsmen in his office, Oke-Ilewo, Abeokuta in preparations for the 15th edition of the festival, disclosed that the state stands to gain a whopping N3 billion at the end of the fiesta.
