The last decommissioned British Airways supersonic Concorde set off on its final voyage -- on a slow boat to its new home at an aviation museum in Scotland.

The waterborne Concorde, temporarily stripped of its wings and tail, left Isleworth on the River Thames inside a heavy-lift barge, heading for the Museum of Flight near Edinburgh where it will go on display after restoration.

It will be visible from shore from 4:30 pm (1530 GMT) on Tuesday when it makes a 90 minute stop between Lambeth and Westminster bridges, near the Houses of Parliament in central London, the Port of London Authority said.
