Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Dzung on Monday [12 April] answered foreign reporters' questions about recent developments in some areas of the Central Highlands.

Dzung said, "Over the past few days, some extremist elements in Dak Lak and Gia Lai provinces, instigated by outsiders, have carried out activities of causing public disorder. They even fought against local authorities and damaged public welfare works and assets in some communes. Local authorities have taken measures to stabilise the situation. All aspects of life in these areas are still normal".
