Well, how the hell was I to know that "Pain Killer" was the soundtrack to an, UGH!, Volvo commercial? I swear I got the disc before I saw and heard the TV ad. Really. Nonetheless, it is indeed disconcerting when one learns that of all the RP tunes that prompted album purchases, this one has also been grafted to the world's allegedly safest car. Bummer. Does this change my love of Turin Brakes' Ether Song? Not one bit. But I'd get a new merchandising counselor.
