Beijing, 1 April: A series of cultural and sports activities will be held to promote exchanges between young people in China and Russia in 2004, which was set by the two countries' leadership as the "Sino-Russian Youth Friendship Year", said a Chinese official.

Vice Secretary-General of the All-China Youth Federation Jiang Guangping told Xinhua here Thursday [1 April] that the planned events include visits by Chinese and Russian young people to each other's country, a talent contest, an online questionnaire, an art exhibition and a Sino-Russian youth camp. …
