PETALING JAYA, March 31 (Bernama) -- TSH Resources Bhd expects to generate an annual profit of between RM8 million and RM10 million through the sale of renewable energy from oil palm waste to Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) from July this year, its executive director, Lim Fook Hin, said today.
The company has agreed to sell up to 10MW of renewable energy at 21.25 sen per kilowatt hour (kwh) for 21 years via a renewable energy purchase agreement (REPA) to SESB, which is 80 percent owned by Tenaga Nasional Bhd.
It is estimated that SESB, the sole power utility in Sabah, is paying an average of 36 sen per kwh for diesel power.
