Cranebrook veterinarian Tom Astbury may find his hobby provides for a nice pay rise this weekend after his three greyhounds won the box draw battle for Sunday's Capital Classic (530m) at Narrabundah.

A horror box draw hasn't stopped classy greyhound In For Life from being posted an early 5-2 favourite for the $18,100 race but it has brought others right into the event, including the best chance of Astbury's three runners.

Tadmore Eddy is drawn ideally in box two with an abundance of early speed and may upset second favourite Fiddleback, drawn three, from there. Speedster Danterry Lass should lead from box seven.
