One of the problems of teaching leadership is how to turn the abstract concept into a real life happening, which an instructor has done through a unique course using an experiential learning technique.

Instructor Michele Linder teaches a recreational leadership course in the department of health, physical education and recreation at Missouri Western State College. She discussed the course at the 17th annual Women in Educational Leadership conference sponsored by the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in October 2003.
