The varied repertoire of Moray's largest arts event was on full display yesterday as children took the stage to recite original stories, sing in their school choir and debate with their peers on day four of the Moray Music Festival.
Applegrove Primary School student John Gillespie took top honours for reading his original story, Seamus the Sheep's Big Adventure, about a sheep who saves the world from Dr Terror and his army of evil monkeys.
Silvie Taylor, a professional writer and public-speaking adjudicator, commended the pupil for his inventive touches and strong delivery.
