SHIMLA: Transport minister G S Bali on Wednesday said that there had been an increase of about Rs 30 crores in the revenue of the Himachal Pradesh Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC), during the current financial year, as compared to the previous year, because of the hike in passenger fare and internal savings.

Talking to newspersons here, he said that while the hike in passenger fare had resulted in an increase of about Rs 21 crores, the department had saved about Rs 8.69 crores by internal savings. "We had given an undertaking to the government that the hike in passenger fares would help the HRTC …
