BUSINESSES were urged yesterday to take advantage of the wealth of talent to be found in Ulster's universities.

This year, it is hoped that over 50 small and medium sized businesses in Northern Ireland will participate in the Shell Technology Enterprise Programme (STEP) to offer second-year undergraduates the opportunities to develop business solutions through work-based projects this summer.

STEP is based around an eight-week project, during July and August, which enables local companies to take advantage of the new ideas and technical knowledge of undergraduates, while encouraging the student to explore opportunities in the small …
