MALAYSIA's 2010 Asian Games bid documents are, after much deliberation and thought, ready and the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) will submit them to the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) after obtaining Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's consent and signature.

But as much as OCM want to bring the Asian Games to Kuala Lumpur, they will not make extravagant promises and the bid will be based on principles and not anything else.

The OCM decision, despite OCA setting some outrageous conditions, is prompted by the benefits to the country should the Asian Games be awarded to Kuala Lumpur and the feedback …
