The order from California's supreme court is a victory for some conservative groups. But the court still has to decide whether the marriages are in fact legal. More than 3,700 gay marriages have been performed. And the National Hockey League has suspended Vancouver's Todd Bertuzzi and fined him more than half a million dollars.
