The Mortgage Bankers Association has appointed Josh Denney as director of government affairs and said he will be primarily responsible for lobbying Capitol Hill on commercial real estate issues.
Mr. Denney joins the MBA from the office of Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., where he was staff director for the Senate Banking Subcommittee on International Trade and Finance and legislative assistant for all issues before the Senate Banking Committee.
Prior to his tenure at Sen. Hagel's office, Mr. Denney was a senior account executive for Powell Tate/Weber Shandwick Public Affairs, where he managed several national media campaigns.
