Sun Cellular continues its aggressive network coverage rollout to better serve its rapidly increasing subscriber base.
Plans are already under way to double its cell sites around the country in partnership with the biggest network and infrastructure providers in the world - Ericsson and Alcatel.
Sun Cellular currently employs Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution (EDGE) technology that enables it to handle three times more subscribers than the technology used by its competitors, triple their data per subscriber and add extra capacity to voice communications.
It has also entered into a $10-million contract with Alcatel to ensure an extensive coverage throughout the country, including key, secondary and tertiary cities and areas.
This advanced network is complemented by consumer responsive services at affordable rates for both its postpaid and prepaid services.
Sun Cellular's postpaid services offer fully consumable voice plans where subscribers can charge their local calls, national direct dial (NDD) and international direct dial (IDD) calls and even international roaming calls. Call rates are as low as P4 per minute for local calls and $0.30 per minute for international calls.
