JOHOR BARU: Is Johor Baru a shoppers' haven? With more than 28 shopping complexes and hypermarkets, the city is definitely a place to be at during the Mega Sales shopping carnival.

Johor Tourism Action Council general manager Datuk Abdul Karim Hassan said more than 1,000 traders have registered with the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry here and the stage has been set for an influx of tourists.

But the carnival is not only at shopping complexes and hypermarkets.

We have other attractions too, including the Air Hitam ceramic centre, Tangkak and Segamat which are popular for cheap and quality textiles, he said. …
