A non-governmental organisation, Exam Ethics Project (EEP) has sent out what can be termed a 'national alert' on plans by some unscrupulous individuals to undermine the conduct of the various public examinations to be conducted this year.

In an open letter to members of the Exam Watch Action Network and other ethics-friendly education stakeholders, Chairman of EEP, Mr. Ike Onyechere said, "on account of lack of political will to implement the Exam Malpractice law No. 33 of 1999, exam fraud syndicates across the country are openly and boldly laying out plans for another vicious circle of malpractice in 2004 examinations." …
