(From Asia Pulse)
TOKYO, March 3 Asia Pulse - U.S. golf club maker MacGregor Golf Co. plans to begin U.S. sales in February 2005 of golf clubs it first developed and marketed in Japan.
To date, the firm has pursued different strategies in the two nations, targeting mainly advanced golfers in the U.S. and beginning and intermediate golfers in Japan. Its Japanese sales exceed its U.S. sales.
Now, the company has decided to take some of its clubs that are popular in Japan to the U.S. market. It aims to sell 150,000 to 200,000 such clubs annually.
