JAKARTA, March 2 Asia Pulse - Britain is expected to lift its ban on import of plywood from Indonesia after British authorities were convinced that not all of Indonesian timber products are made of illegal logs.
General chairwoman of the Forestry Industry Revitalization Agency (BRIK) Soewarni said Britain also knows that the Indonesian government is serious in eliminating illegal logging to preserve its tropical forests.
Britain has banned imports of plywood from Indonesia on pressure from Greenpeace, which said 80 per cent of Indonesian timber…
