SARASOTA -- AutoNation Inc. is buying Sarasota's Glauser Mercedes-Benz, marking the Fort Lauderdale company's first entry into Sarasota County.

AutoNation, the largest retailer of new and used cars, confirmed that it has signed an agreement to acquire the dealership at 6828 S. Tamiami Trail.
