With a new investment project planned by Prodisc Technology Inc., the Hua Ya Science and Technology Park in the northern Taiwan town of Linkou has become the world's top manufacturing center for optoelectronic disks such as CD-ROMs, CD-Rs, DVD-Rs, and DVD-RWs

Heavyweight CD and DVD buyers from all over the world are taking cognizance of the park, because all four of Taiwan's biggest producers in the line-CMC Magnetics Corp., U-Tech Media Corp., and Infodisc Technology Corp., as well as Prodisc--are now operating there.
