SAN JOSE, Calif., March 1 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ -- Silicon Motion Inc., a leading supplier of multimedia storage and acceleration solutions for mobile devices, has partnered with MontaVista Software at its China Seminar Series which takes place in three major cities in China; Shanghai, March 1st, Beijing, March 4th and Shenzhen, March 8th, 2004.
At the seminar, Silicon Motion will be demonstrating its SM501's multiple graphics, video and alpha layer capabilities under MontaVista Linux for the first time. The multiple display layers for graphics, video and alpha blending is key for consumer electronic devices, which require OSD (On-screen-display).
The SM501's Linux driver currently supports 2D acceleration, video overlay and video capture which enable a rich multimedia experience.
The Seminar Series will address the needs of device manufactures to create robust next generation consumer electronics and communications products for system software and development tools. Presentations at the seminar will feature both technology and solutions.
