JAKARTA, March 1 Asia Pulse - Indonesian Foreign Minister Hassan Wirayuda has called on G-15 countries to develop cooperation in information technology and communications.
In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Indonesian chief delegate Minister Hassan Wirayuda made a statement to this effect in the opening of the G-15 summit in Caracas on Friday evening.
The minister said the G-15 would gain progress in economy and social developement if they could absorb information technology and communication potentials.
However, he acknowledged that developing countries still had obstacles in infrastructure and education, capacity development, investment and connectivity.
"Therefore, the countries should find ways to cope with the obstacles if they want to take benefits from information technology and communication in the future," Wirayuda added.
