SYDNEY, March 1 Asia Pulse - Sydney's major racing clubs are reportedly set to sign a TV broadcasting deal with Sky Channel, despite spending weeks negotiating with other parties for a better deal.
Newspapers today reported that Sydney's Australian Jockey Club (AJC) and Sydney Turf Club (STC) would lose a total of $A2 million ($US1.54 million) under the three-year contract, which would be valued at $A7 million ($US5.4 million) a year rather than the current $A9 million ($US6.94 million).
That is because under the new deal, the Sydney clubs would be paid on par with Victoria under a "favoured nation clause".
