SEOUL, March 1 Asia Pulse - South Korea's blockbuster movie "Silmido" broke the record sale price for a Korean film sold to Taiwan, the film's promoter said Sunday.
Silmido, about a group of mainly ruffians trained as commandos to assassinate then North Korean leader Kim Il-sung in the early 1970s, has set new standards for the domestic film industry with over 10 million tickets sold in the first 58 days after its release on Dec. 24.
