S. KOREAN PM PLEDGES CONTRIBUTION TO WORLD PROSPERITY.
SEOUL, March 1 Asia Pulse - South Korea's prime minister said Saturday that South Korea will continue exerting efforts to contribute to global peace and prosperity as a responsible member of the international community .
Delivering a speech at the closing ceremony of a two-day international conference to mark President Roh Moo-hyun's first year in office, Prime Minister Goh Kun said, "Korea aspires for Northeast Asia to become a symbol of world peace and prosperity, and has been preparing to take on a proactive role to achieve this goal."
"We strive to become the logistics and financial hub of Northeast Asia because we believe we can contribute to prosperity in Northeast Asia, and moreover lay the cornerstone for global prosperity," Goh said.
