MUMBAI, March 1 Asia Pulse - Singapore-based Berger International Ltd (BIL) (SGX:BEGR), in which Asian Paints (BSE:ASPN) had taken a controlling stake last year, has reported a net profit of S$3.1 million (US$1.82 million) for the year ended December 31, as compared to S$0.6 million recorded in the previous year.

Net profits attributable to shareholders was S$2.2 million as compared to loss of S$1.1 million in the previous year, the company said in a statement here on Thursday.
